Information we collect

Name, email, password, optional mobile phone number, location and, for workers, ID verification details. Businesses also provide business name, job posts, schedules and payroll details.

How we use it

To run your account, match workers with jobs, verify identity, process pay, provide support and, only if you opt in, send text messages.

Mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver messages. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

Text messaging (SMS) program

Program name: BetterMake Alerts.

Program description: BetterMake Alerts is BetterMake's text message program. It has two separate opt-ins: (1) Marketing messages, for workers who opt in: new job postings. (2) Account notifications, for workers who opt in: notifications when you are paid and about your account activity; for businesses who opt in: notifications about your employees and job applications that need reviewing.

Opt-in: You only receive texts if you provide your mobile number and check the optional SMS box for that message type when creating an account. The marketing and account checkboxes are separate. Consent is not a condition of sign-up or of any purchase.

Frequency: Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed. You can also reply CANCEL, END, QUIT or UNSUBSCRIBE.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on major US carriers.

Sharing

We share information with businesses or workers you choose to work with, and with service providers who help us operate. We do not sell your personal information.

You can update or delete your account information, and reply STOP to stop texts at any time.
